Parmenter Realty Partners Unveils New Art Installation As Part of Rambler Park Refresh

DALLAS, March 18, 2014 – With the help of two local artists, Parmenter Realty Partners recently unveiled new art work installations in the lobby of its newly acquired property, Rambler Park in Dallas, Texas. An Evening of Art at Rambler Park took place Thursday, March 6 at the building located at 7557 Rambler Road, where local artists, Mark Whitmarsh and Carlyn Ray, were on hand to showcase their work. Guests enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres while visiting with the artists and observing as Mark Whitmarsh painted an original piece.

“When we acquired this beautiful building the gallery-like lobby was missing some much needed color,” said Josh Hedderich, Asset Manager for Parmenter Realty Partners. “The addition of the work by artists as talented as Mark and Carlyn adds an upgraded dimension to the building, which we hope will delight and intrigue our tenants.”

In celebration and support of art education, Parmenter partnered with local nonprofit Big Thought, and presented a check to the organization during the event. Among Big Thought’s outreach initiatives is its Arts Partners program, which aims to expose all DISD elementary students to the Arts through creative learning programs.

Parmenter Senior Vice President, Alan Rubenstein noted, “With the introduction of the wonderful new art at Rambler Park, the partnership with Big Thought was obvious. We admire the group’s advocacy of art education, and hope to find ways to partner with them in the future.”

One of the pieces commissioned for display as part of the building’s upgrade is a unique glass weave light sculpture by local glass blower and former Dale Chihuly understudy Carlyn Ray. During her two years as an employee for Chihuly, Ray was part of the team responsible for masterpieces which include the unforgettable Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum. She later opened her own studio in the Design District in the summer of 2013. Ray was originally inspired to pursue a career in hot glass after her parents took her as a young girl to see a glass blowing demonstration.

Local painter Mark Whitmarsh was commissioned for the additional new art now permanently on display in the lobby of Rambler Park. Three of his pieces are showcased including, “Fall Thunder,” “Blue Odyssey,” and “Dream Sequence.” Whitmarsh’s work is embraced by the art world for his abstract expressionistic use of color and creating high-energy vivid stories on the canvas. He has lived and painted in Dallas for more than 20 years.

In addition to the completed art program installation, Parmenter Realty Partners is underway with a $2.4 million comprehensive capital improvement program. Completed improvements consist of six floors of common corridor and restroom upgrades, the creation of a spec suite floor with wifi tenant lounge, and landscaping upgrades throughout the site. A direct connection to the Walnut Hill DART station, elevator cab upgrades, building top signage installation and submission for LEED certification are expected to be complete by the end of March 2014.

With the acquisition of Rambler Park, Parmenter Realty Partners now owns and operates 3.5 million square feet of office space in the Dallas market. Financing for the acquisition was provided by NXT Capital. The seller was represented by Andrew Levy at HFF.
